Hello! Welcome to the Arizona National Livestock Show Ambassador Page. Let me take a minute to introduce myself. I am a small town farm girl from Elfrida, Arizona and I have spent my entire life in the industry of agriculture. Growing up in Cochise County has given me the opportunity to see and live in the industry. Whether it was checking cows with my dad, painting trees with my mom, or playing in the dirt with my brothers and sister I loved every minute spent outside on the farm. Growing up I was actively involved in the Cochise County 4-H organization and the Arizona FFA Association. These great organizations taught me several life lessons such as becoming a leader, being a team player, a strong work ethic, and more importantly an appreciation for agriculture and the people involved. It has strongly influenced my career decisions as I am attending the University of Arizona majoring in Animal Sciences and a minor in agriculture education hoping to find a career as an agriculture extension agent. I cannot express my excitement to serve as the ANLS Ambassador. I have been participating in this show since I was nine years old and it is an honor to serve as the Ambassador and represent this great organization. Through this opportunity I will have the chance to travel around the state representing ANLS and the agriculture industry. I have been very grateful to receive a scholarship from the show. If you have participated in the Arizona National Livestock Show do not miss the chance to apply for a scholarship and volunteer at the show. If you would like to apply for a scholarship there are two deadlines one in October and one next spring in March and the show starts after Christmas. It is an event you truly do not want to miss! I am looking forward to meeting with business professionals and all the youth that I meet this year. I hope to see you at the show! Amanda Zamudio |
